The Housing and Neighborhood Revitalization Unit administers a loan program, which provides financial and technical assistance for the critical repairs of eligible, owner-occupied single family housing units in the City of Lancaster. The Housing and Neighborhood Revitalization Unit staff and/or the proper City Inspector inspect each property to determine the seriousness. All repairs need to be deemed as an emergency by the mentioned staff. Types of Repairs 0% Interest Payment Loan $500.00 – $ 8.33/month $1,000.00 – $16.67/month $2,000.00 – $33.33/month $3,000.00 – $50.00/month $4,000.00 – $66.67/month $5,000.00 – $83.33/month *Deferred Loans also available* All applicants of the Critical Repair Program are strongly encouraged to apply for the Homeowner Rehabilitation Assistance Program for complete rehabilitation in order to bring their property up to City Code. Eligibility Requirements Applicants must reside and be the deed holder of the property, be current with their mortgage, current with all City & County obligations, and have current homeowner's insurance. A lien search and credit report will be considered when determining eligibility. Must meet current income guidelines. See below:
