The City of Lancaster would like to invite their residents to take advantage of a continued program to recycle tree trimmings also known as “Woody Yard Waste” at the curbside.  This recycling program shreds “Woody Yard Waste” into mulch that will be used by the Lancaster City Streets and Parks Bureaus.

Register to have your “Woody Yard Waste” collected at curbside during the weeks of October 6^th through the 17^th by calling the Solid Waste Hotline at 717-291-4744 or emailing your request to swhotline@cityoflancasterpa.com. (Include your name, address and a phone number where you can be reached)

“Woody Yard Waste” should be stacked at curbside for collection.  Please make sure your trimmings are no more than “3” inches in diameter and that they do not exceed “3” feet in length. 

This collection is for City of Lancaster properties only and you must pre-register before October 3rd, 2008 to take advantage of this FREE recycling service.
