The City of Lancaster has a six (6) 32-gallon bag/can limit for trash collection. If it becomes necessary to exceed this limit, an extra refuse tag program is now available. Tags are sold at $10.00/sheet; each containing five (5) tags. One tag is required for each container above the limit. Tags may only be used for extra bags or cans, not for additional large refuse items. Bags or cans that are over the weekly limit without a tag will NOT be collected and must be removed from the curbside by 8:00pm on the day of collection.
