Recognizing that the northeast and southwest quadrants of the City lacked the presence of an established community development organization, in 2007 City officials began working with residents, business owners, churches and other organizations in these neighborhoods to develop physical and strategic plans specific to the northeast and southwest quadrants. Since that time, much has been accomplished, including the launch of websites dedicated to these areas of the City.
