City offices will be closed on Monday, January 21 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Trash and recycling collection will remain on schedule. Customers should put their trash and recycling out on their regular collection day. There will be no street cleaning on Monday, January 21. Street cleaning will resume its regular schedule on Tuesday, January 22. The Recycling Drop-Off Center will remain open with regular hours on Monday, January 21.

The City of Lancaster is in the process of upgrading our water meter technology to Itron smart meters, which allow for readings to be done remotely, eliminating the need for physical access to the meter and providing more accurate readings that will contribute to more consistent bills. This program is mandatory for all City of Lancaster water customers.
